In this day and age you can never be to careful when browsing the web or using Skype with your friends. The NSA (National Security Agency) is an agency within the United States government that is constantly keeping an eye on Americans and foreigners. Where do you draw the line? Does national security constitute infringement upon civil liberties? Should the government have the technology and authority to override citizens security walls and hack into their laptops? After Edward Snowden leaked classified documents to Wiki Leaks there has been a public outcry for answers. If someone within the NSA thinks the world should know about what the United States government is doing behind closed doors, then that is a red flag.

This all started after the 911 attacks on the world trade center. Immediately following the attacks, the Patriot Act was drafted and sent through congress. Within that act was powers granted to the government that would change the lives of many. However, the government was granted these powers to combat terrorism.. do they use them unlawfully? Edward Snowden thinks so.
