Importance of SEO Marketing
In this day and age SEO optimization is key if you want your website to receive organic traffic. These earned results can take your website to the next level in a matter of weeks, especially if you implement keywords that reflect your content. To accomplish this, you need to create keywords, meta tags, and strategic search phrases that the common online user will put into Google or Bing when trying to find certain content. Some of you may ask, well what about social media marketing? Paid advertising? Does that play a role?
"In 2014, Conductor suggested 64% of all web traffic comes from organic search, compared to 2% from social, 6% from paid search, 12% direct and 15% from other referral sources." (SearchEngineWatch.com). Those statistics hold truth when marketing your website. If your website isn't receiving traffic, it means you aren't utilizing SEO.
The world is changing as we move from print to digital and if you plan on marketing what your website has to offer, you need to be armed with the SEO basics. Most sites make this easy for website designers and all it requires a good list of keywords. Another factor that makes the user experience online better is internal linking. When I refer to internal linking, I mean any links from one page on a domain which lead to another page on that same domain. This causes the user to see all of your content and can cause them to connect to what your site has to offer.
